Hi, I’m Georgina! I’m a writer and director. I love family movies! The stories that I’m most passionate about include (but are not limited to) adventure, science fiction and coming of age. If you would like, you can have a read through my brief rant.

I love telling kids’ stories - not stories written by children (those tend to be a little underwhelming). No, I love telling stories that help us understand who we are and the world we live in.

I find that adult-centred stories revolve mainly around ego (overcoming ego, selfishness eg.). - and thats if they have anything to say at all, and they are not some avant-garde nihilistic, cash-grab garbage (with plots likely written by AI - lets face it). A lot of the times, especially recent times, I find most movies dull - even action-packed” ones. Lacking colour, soul or warmth. Lacking the building blocks of what makes us human, what makes us connect with one another and the world we live in. [Hot-take: Interstellar is a dull, soulless story predominantly because the main character is someone that I can’t even route for!]

Child-perspective stories can be much more. Child stories are predominantly about understanding. Contrary to modern popular belief, you can tell a LOT through a kid’s adventure! You can go in depth about some of the hardest hitting issues that plague our conscious or society whilst you sit down for a bunch of laughs, watching a goofy gang of misfits!

I feel we need to rediscover childhood innocence and the nostalgic rose-tinted light in which children view the world - even in the darkest hours and the most challenging parts of growing up. Because no matter how bad it gets, or how small we felt - for a child, wherever they are, the world and their imagination will always be their playground, and give them the ability to overcome, to smile, to find excitement or happiness. For me a story, even a sad one, is incomplete without warmth, fun, or human connection. Children always strive to understand one another, or why life is the way it is, or the reason behind someone’s actions. Children will almost always forgive. These are the stories that I want to tell, and I feel like they are slowly fading into the past. I want to change that. So I’ll be on the lookout for like-minded people, who want to add a slash of colour to the movie screens and bring our audience in for a good time.
